Dear Miss Pinster,
Warmer weather has come and the farm is a buzz with spring tasks. Every waking moment is spent managing the household and the girls have commenced on a thorough spring cleaning. The new staff is  very young but eager to work and they are doing well under Mrs. Down's watchful eye.
The sheep have been shorn and we have plenty of new lambs this season.  We were able to get the crops planted before the weather turned too hot and an extra field was cleared and was planted with rye. Our hopes for a successful harvest this fall.
