Dearest Sister, We arrived in at Peacefield at six and the lane was lit with what seemed like hundreds of lanterns. Upon entering the hall, we were announced to the other guests who were dressed quite impressively for the country. The tables were adorned will all sorts of decorations and dazzling salvers in tiers with a wide assortments of jellies, sweetmeats, and fruits. We danced till our feet tired and found our way home after midnight. It was a wonderful celebration of M___'s homecoming. -MWE Balls, Soirees & Assemblies |
